SiddhiVinayak Temple is dedicated to one of the most revered Gods, Lord Ganesha. The SiddhiVinayak Temple is one of the most important and visited temples of India. The SiddhiVinayak Temple was established way back on 19th November 1801. The Ganesha at the SiddhiVinayak Temple is believed to grant wishes whenever humbly and genuinely prayed to. The Ganesha idol at the SiddhiVinayak Temple was carved out of a single black stone with the trunk on the right. The Ganesha idol four arms holding a lotus flower, an axe, bowl of modakas and a rosary (japmala).
The two consorts of Lord Ganesha, Riddhi and Siddhi, adorn the site being placed on the either side of Ganesha. The wooden doors to the sanctum are carved with images of the Ashtavinayak. In the periphery of the temple, there is a Hanuman temple as well. Lord Ganesha is also known as Vighnaharta as he is the remover of obstacles. Lord Ganesha is worshipped before any other God and before any rituals.
